~ A VIOLENT HALF HOUR POINTS TO CITY CRISIS ~ Philadelphia Inquirer, July 12, 2005. By Barbara Boyer Stephanie Arnold, Philadelphia Inquirer Staff Writers. A telling excerpt: "Two weeks ago, the Strategic Intervention Tactical Enforcement Unit began patrolling high crime area from 10 P.M. to 6 A.M. on weekends, when most violent crimes occur. The 46 - member unit was formed to combat violent crime, but it also issues citations for minor infractions such as public urination and littering, that affect the quality of life in a neighborhood, said Lt. James Dambach, who commands the unit." contra The intrepid Philadelphia Police Department refused to act on a perfected littering complaint against AVCO Inc. which litters (by the thousands) on private property every week. Go figure!!! |

Barbara Boyer and Ms. Stephanie Arnold indicate in their article that the
Police cite the public urinator.... Nowhere in their probing reporting do the duo
writers report that the big time, weekly, flagrant city
dumpers on Philadelphia's residential properties, such as
AVCO Inc,
the News Gleaner, the Northeast Times, etceteras... are ever
cited for dumping at will. Forget about 'quality of life issues' the new soooo
politically correct buzz terminology. Forget picking on the small time pissers.
(When you gotta go...you gotta go.)
Does the Philadelphia News media ever wonder why the police do not go after the really really big time dumpers? The guys who dump ..dump ... dump. NO. Do the reporters ever wonder if corporate litter machines contribute to the ambiance of filth and crime in Philadelphia ?????? |
